The crew behind
Route Prime Group
Nine years ago we were two blokes, one van and a borrowed desk in Mascot. Today it's a depot, a fleet and a team that still answers the phone the same way — fast.
Started on the dock, still think like it
Back in 2016 we were doing courier runs between Alexandria and the airport, learning freight the hard way — one missed cutoff at a time. The first warehouse was 300 square metres with a roller door that jammed when it rained. It taught us the thing we still run the company on: a client doesn't care how big your shed is, they care that the truck shows up when you said it would.
These days there's proper racking, a night shift and trucks leaving for Melbourne every evening. But the habit stuck. Every client gets a named coordinator, every quote is a real number, and if something slips, you hear it from us before you notice it yourself.
A short history in loads
Every milestone below traces back to a client asking "can you also do…" and us figuring out the answer.
2016 — the van years
Metro courier work for print shops and cafés around inner Sydney. Learned that "urgent" means different things to different people.
2018 — first warehouse
300 m² in Alexandria. Started holding stock for a homewares importer who was tired of parking pallets in his showroom.
2020 — went interstate
Bought our first tautliner and started the Sydney–Melbourne night run. It's still our busiest lane.
2022 — customs desk opens
Hired a licensed broker after watching clients lose days at Port Botany on paperwork. Entries now lodge same-day.
2025 — the Mascot depot
Moved into 4,200 m² ten minutes from the port. 340+ businesses ship through us every month — the phone still gets answered by a person.
The people you'll actually deal with
No ticket system, no "your call is important to us". These are the names on the emails.

Projects, not just deliveries
A few jobs that show the range — standard freight this is not.
Three rules on the office wall
They sound simple because they are. The hard part is doing them every day.

Answer fast
Calls before the third ring, emails same day. A slow answer costs the client more than a slow truck.
Quote honest
The number we give is the number on the invoice. Surcharges exist — we just tell you about them upfront.
Own the problem
If a truck breaks down or a container gets flagged, that's ours to fix. You get an update, not an excuse.
Stay small enough
We grew the depot, not the bureaucracy. Every client still has one coordinator who knows their freight.
Fair questions
The stuff people ask before they hand over the freight.
