Oversized freight and
project cargo, handled
Machinery, exhibition gear, building fit-outs and the freight that doesn't fit a pallet — planned move by move, with permits, escorts and the right truck for the shape.
Freight that needs a plan, not a pallet
Most freight fits a system. Project cargo doesn't — it needs a route survey, a crane window, a permit for the overwidth lane and someone who's done it before standing on the kerb. That someone is usually us.
We've moved print machinery into CBD basements, staging for an 11-city tour, and cold-room equipment to a hospital in Dubbo on a crane schedule. The pattern: measure twice, book the access, and keep a backup window because project jobs never go exactly to plan.
- Route surveys and access checks at both ends
- Hiab, crane and tilt-tray trucks on call
- Overwidth permits and escort vehicles arranged
- Multi-drop schedules for events and fit-outs
Project cargo rates
Oversized work prices on the job, not the kilo — access, weight distribution and timing matter more than distance. The rates below are the honest starting points.
| Item | Rate |
|---|---|
| Oversized item, metro move | from A$280 |
| Hiab / crane truck, hourly | from A$195/hr |
| Tilt-tray, metro | from A$240 |
| Escort vehicle, interstate | from A$2.40/km |
| Permits & route survey | from A$350 |
| Event / tour logistics | fixed quote per job |
How a project move runs
More planning than driving — which is exactly how it should be.
Photos and dimensions first
What it is, how heavy, where it sits, where it's going. Photos do half the quoting.
Access check both ends
Dock heights, laneway widths, crane windows, strata rules — we verify, not assume.
Written plan + fixed quote
Truck type, timing, permits, escorts — one document, one number.
Book the window
Crane slots and loading docks get reserved before the truck leaves the depot.
Move day
Crew on site with the gear, coordinator on the phone, photos at each stage.
Done and documented
Delivery sign-off, site left clean, invoice matching the plan to the dollar.
Other services we run
Same crew, same depot — different jobs.
The unusual loads
The jobs that don't photograph well in brochures — and happen to be our favourite kind.
Crane window, CBD basement
Tour gear, 11 cities
Hospital fitout, Dubbo
Escorted overwidth run
Tilt-tray site deliveryThe planning pair
Dmytro still walks every tricky access himself — a route survey by someone who's driven the truck beats three PDFs of guesswork.
Andrew handles the permit and documentation side; between them, most project jobs move from first email to fixed plan inside a week.
